Escape to the Sea with Guided Coastal Kayak Trips in St Davids, Wales

Leave the shoreline behind, find your flow and rediscover your wilder side with a sea kayaking trip in Pembrokeshire.

These full or multi-day private group sea kayaking adventures give you a unique chance to unplug from daily life and reconnect with nature in the untamed seascape of the West Wales coast.

We’ve spent decades exploring the Pembrokeshire Coast, so our guided sea kayaking experiences are jam-packed with local knowledge, wild encounters, and a tonne of fun.

We keep our adventures flexible here at The Real Adventure Company. Every sea kayaking route in Pembrokeshire is customised to your vibe, the tides and what the weather tells us on the day.

We design kayaking tours of the St Davids coastline for small, private groups. These adventures require some basic experience, but you don’t have to be an expert. Our guided sessions are ideal for:

  • Paddlers with some boat time under their belts who are keen to build confidence on the water
  • Adventure seekers who like a challenge and want to explore further
  • Families, friends, and other social groups looking for a unique and exciting coastal experience

You’ll get the precise level of expert instruction you need to explore safely, learn new skills, and have an unforgettable day on the water.

We can’t think of a lovelier location to refine your kayaking skills!

Do I need sea kayaking experience? +

Some basic kayaking knowledge helps as these sessions are a little more challenging than our standard sessions. That said, we tailor trips to your ability and guide you every step of the way. If you’re not sure whether sea kayaking is for you, get in touch for a more in-depth chat.

Will we see wildlife? +

Invariably, yes. Kayaking with wildlife is a given here in Pembrokeshire. From puffins, choughs and gannets, porpoises and dolphins, seals, and sunfish to minke whales and leatherback turtles, you’re bound to spot something in or out of the waves.

Can sea kayaking be part of a mixed-activity weekend? +

A day, a weekend, a week – we can create whatever outdoor activity package you want, whether that’s a full-on adventure at sea or a mix of kayaking, surfing, coasteering, and exploring along the West Wales coast.

What happens if the weather is bad? +

A bit of rain never stops us, and we do our best to get out in most weather. However, safety is our top priority, so if we have thunderstorms, strong winds, and very rough seas, we may have to postpone or cancel. In that case, we will offer an alternative date or a refund.

Do you provide transport for adventure activities? +

No, we transport the equipment, but you will need your own transport for getting to the activity sites.

How do I book a session? +
