REDISCOVER YOUR WILD SIDE ON A REAL ADVENTURE
Looking for thoughtfully crafted, quietly different outdoor activities in Wales?
Welcome to the Real Adventure Company. We’re here to help you return to the real world – where the wind blows away life’s cobwebs and the tide sets the pace.
We specialise in private, personalised, outdoor adventure experiences for small groups who want to let go of routine, breathe in and rediscover a sense of balance on the wild Pembrokeshire Coast. From our family farm just outside the tiny (and lovely) city of St Davids, we offer bespoke activity days and adventure holidays suitable for all ages and abilities.

Our co-founders, Pete and Lyn Ward, lead most of our adventures personally, bringing their energy, expertise, and sense of fun to every session (as well as being your personal photographers for your inclusive photos).
Every adventure can be dialled up or down – Pete adapts the vibe to you. Whether you want to feel the adrenaline pumping or switch off and recharge, a West Wales adventure is just what you need.

ACTIVITY FAQS
Where do your outdoor activities take place? +
We operate across the north and south Pembrokeshire Coast, choosing prime locations based on the tides, weather, and group needs. As an outdoor activity centre in St Davids, we have world-class adventure spots within 20 minutes of our HQ, but full-day trips may go further afield to ensure the very best location for the day.
Do your activities run all year round? +
Yes, we are open all year and work with the seasons. We’re always ready for a winter wet suit adventure and in summer we offer special sunset sessions.
What ages and abilities can take part in your adventures? +
We welcome all ages and abilities. Our youngest adventurer was three years old, our oldest was 75! A basic swimming ability (even doggy paddle), some water confidence, and our buoyancy aids are enough.
What should I wear on the day? +
Dress for the weather, layer up and wear clothing and footwear that you don’t mind getting wet. Full kit advice is provided after booking.
What equipment do you provide for your outdoor activities in Pembrokeshire? +
We provide all the necessary equipment: high-quality winter wet suits, socks and gloves when needed, buoyancy aids, helmets, etc. – all well-maintained and frequently renewed. Our smallest wet suits fit someone 114 cm (3’ 9“) tall with a 61cm (24”) chest and a 56 cm (22”) waist. But if you are smaller, call us to discuss options.
Do you offer accommodation? +
Yes, we have limited tent, caravan, and campervan pitches at our small farm campsite (St Davids Camping) and partner with nearby partners for non-camping group accommodation.
Do you provide transport to your adventure activity locations near St Davids? +
No, you will need your own transport, but we will take care of equipment and logistics.
How do I book single outdoor activities or a Real Adventure holiday in Wales? +
Visit our contact page, share your details and we’ll help you create the ultimate outdoor activity itinerary – whether you want a single-day of fun or a whole week of epic adventures in Pembrokeshire.
